Yes.. Here was the same. For me not at all because the court will be back to its activities next Thrusday, but the deadlines will get started at January 21th. So I have a lot of free time by now. Few things to do at the office.

And in Russia official holidays are till January 10th  :P :P
Although, tomorrow I have to go to work again, but just for one day. And with shorter working hours, so it's okay  :)

@Julia why are official holidays till the 10th? What do you celebrate these days?

Because first we have the New Year, and it's maybe the biggest holiday for Russian people (don't forget that we don't have Christmas on the Dec 25th),  so on 1-2 January the streets are empty.
and then there is January 7th, which is Orthodox Christmas. It's actually mostly celebrated by people who are really into religion. But still this is an official holiday. And these holidays are united in one long 10-day vacation.

Different organizations have different regimes of work, of course. The softest variant is like mine, and it is pretty common. It's not forced for everyone, because for example the shops are of course open and people are working there. But it's kind of recommended and allowed.

Even we Russian don't quite understand why we have these whole 10 days (instead in 1-2 Jan and 7th Jan, for example), but still it's so.

It is interesting indeed! Here in Mexico there´s also people who have to work on shops and supermarkets during holidays :( they work less hours than the usual but still not cool, I think
Anyways... speaking of holidays I have a two week holiday ahead! ;D Yay!

Wish you all a beautiful weekend :)

You are lucky! I have only one week of holidays :(

I hope you all are having a great day! (in case you're not, let me remind you there's only 5 days left until Hoffnung Lacri-Night ;D)
