Title: Question-Game
Post by: Tänzerin der Dunkelheit on March 08, 2014, 00:18:42
Hey, my dears!  :)

I remembered one game, which I liked very much in the old forum. Maybe you like to continue it?  8)
I just copy the description of Julia/Asphodel:

Quote
I ask you a question about you , you answer and give another question to the next person.
The idea is to learn more about each other, so there should be no questions about random subjects that have nothing to do with the forum members. For example:
"What's your favorite food?" is ok
"Who's the president of the USA?" - not right.

So, just to start - what's favorite color?

And for all new members, who want to see examples, here is the link to the old thread: ;)

I'm very far from policy, actually. Yet... *thinking hard*
Philip IV of France
Yes, I do love the medieval history of France. :)

Well, I don't know how to put it in one sentence... We all here read books, watch movies, go to the theatre (underline as applicable  :)), so my question is the following:
What scene (in a book, in a play, in a movie etc. - and name it, please) have effected you most?  Naturally, there must be quite a few of them, but the first to come to your mind.
Title: Antw:Question-Game
Post by: LadyMalina on March 09, 2014, 20:49:05
Of course there are tons =)
Right now this is what comes to my mind.
Is from the movie "Sense and Sensibility" and when I see the heroine of the movie saying this verses of Shakespeare.....it gives me shivers:

Oh no, it is an ever fixed mark that looks upon tempests and is never shaken....

and yours? =)
Title: Antw:Question-Game
Post by: Sunny on March 09, 2014, 21:46:22
Let me answer my own question.

"...Once, I remember, we returned from some wild debauch - three sons of English peers, Rimanetz and me- and came across a poorly dressed young woman, who clutched to the bars of a closed church door, cryng madly.
- Oh, my God, - she moaned, - oh, merciful God! Help me!
One of my mates gripped her hand and uttered some graceless joke, but Rimanetz stood between them.
- Leave her alone, - he said solemnly. - Let her find the God, if she can!
The young woman looked up at him in fear. Tears were streaming down her face. Rimanetz threw some golden coins into her hands.
She sobbed uncontrollably again.
- Oh, may God bless you! - she cried. - Bless you!
He took off his hat and stood there in the moonlight. A thoughtful expression had somehow softened his gloomy beauty.
- Thank you, - he just said, - I'm in dept with you from now on.
And he started to walk away. We followed him awkwardly in silence. Then one of my noble pals gigled foolishly.
- You've payed too much for a blessing, Rimanetz! - he said. - You gave her three sovereigns. Honestly! If it were me, I would claim something more, much more!
- I do not doubt, - Rimanetz answered him, - that you deserve more, much more! And I hope you will get it! This blessing is useless to you. It's for me!.."

This is the part of "The Sorrows of Satan" by Maria Corelli. I've read it ages ago. Yet still this very part, whenever it comes to my mind, still touches something in me, reminding of the whole book, a very significant one in my life.

And sorry for the translation. It's my own reverse one from Russian.  :)

Question: the same.
Title: Antw:Question-Game
Post by: Tänzerin der Dunkelheit on March 09, 2014, 23:03:12
Yes, there are also tons in my head.
I have one from Dead Poet's society, but this one is even more important to me:

It's a scene from the movie "lost and delirious". Paulie says these words:
"Liar! Liar, Liar, Liar! You've all got your heads up your assholes because love is. It just is and nothing you can say can make it go away because it is the point of why we are here, it is the highest point and once you are up there, looking down on everyone else, you're there forever. Because if you move, right, you fall. You fall. "
...no better description what love is...

Lost And Delirious - Love (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-NMAZB3MN1c#ws)

Question: the same
Title: Antw:Question-Game
Post by: EkaterinaCat on March 11, 2014, 06:12:26
I think that now I can not find the video. Only trailer.

http://youtu.be/R89zLp3ECMA (http://youtu.be/R89zLp3ECMA)

But I really was impressed by the last of the play "Coriolanus".  Mother of Caius Marcius - Volumnia ... no character never caused me so much negative emotions. Stunning actress - Deborah Findlay.

At the end of the play, when she tries to persuade Coriolanus not to attack Rome cost of his own life ... Even vile and stupid tribunes of the People did not cause me such a negative, as this woman. And earlier, when she was waiting for the glory of her son when she forces him to step over their own pride, and when she makes him change his essence ...

And... the same.
Title: Antw:Question-Game
Post by: WalkAbout on March 12, 2014, 04:58:02
It was hard but... in my case that would be this song

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wwCykGDEp7M (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wwCykGDEp7M)

and especially this part of the lyrics:

Some days I feel broke inside but I won't admit
Sometimes I just wanna hide 'cause it's you I miss
And it's so hard to say goodbye when it comes to this, ooh

Would you tell me I was wrong? Would you help me understand?
Are you looking down upon me? Are you proud of who I am?
There's nothing I wouldn't do to have just one more chance
To look into your eyes and see you looking back

Oh, I'm sorry for blaming you
For everything I just couldn't do
And I've hurt myself, oh

If I had just one more day
I would tell you how much that I've missed you
Since you've been away

Same question...
Title: Antw:Question-Game
Post by: Asphodel on March 22, 2014, 19:47:13
My first serious favorite book was The Lord Of The Rings, there were many moments there that touched me. For example the scene when Sam, who was not a warrior but the gardener, defeated the monster who attacked Frodo. For me it's not about battle and action, it's about how he did such a thing, an impossible thing, out of love and loyalty to his friend. This scene always touched me. Here's just an extract from it, (and it's from the book, not the movie).

"Frodo was lying face upward on the ground and the monster was bending over him, so intent upon her victim that she took no heed of Sam and his cries, until he was close at hand. As he rushed up he saw that Frodo was already bound in cords, wound about him from ankle to shoulder, and the monster with her great forelegs was beginning half to lift, half to drag his body away.
On the near side of him lay, gleaming on the ground, his elven blade, where it had fallen useless from his grasp. Sam did not wait to wonder what was to be done, or whether he was brave, or loyal, or filled with rage. He sprang forward with a yell, and seized his master's sword in his left hand. Then he charged. No onslaught more fierce was ever seen in the savage world of beasts; where some desperate small creature armed with little teeth alone, will spring upon a tower of horn and hide that stands above its fallen mate."

The questions is.... your favorite book when you were a child and why
Title: Antw:Question-Game
Post by: Sunny on March 22, 2014, 21:36:48
Oh, Julia, I do love this book, too!

My answer is:
Alice's Adventures in Wonderland
and
Through the Looking-glass and What Alice Found There
By Lewis Carroll.

Well, actually, maybe I loved the former a bit - just a very small bit - more than the latter.
I can't remember how old I was, or on what particular occasion I was given this very book. But I do remember that it was strange and differed a lot from all the books which I had possessed.
It was strange from the very first page. The matter is, that edition was with foot-notes, with explanations of various things, such as, for example, giving texts of original verses Lewis Carroll played with, showing the original parts when literal translation was impossible, telling some traditions in Endland of the XIXth century, etc. For me, somewhere about my first classes at school, it was a great discovery.
Apart from the stories themselves, which enthralled me, took me to the land of my dreams, I came to possess the treasure, belonging to another, "adult" world. It was like diving to an unexplored depth, where you can see a lot, understand little, but long to know everything  :)
From my description you may guess that I loved the book more than the stories in it... But no, it's not like that. I may easily call myself a "fan" of these stories, 'cause I read and re-read them numerous times, and they are among my favourite ones even now.
By writing all this I just tried to name the complex of reasons which made this book a real world of magic for me.

Question: What field of art (I mean literature, music, paintings etc.) is more to your liking, is easier for you to comprehend? And explain it - even if in a few words, please.
Title: Antw:Question-Game
Post by: NuWoLa on March 23, 2014, 14:57:30
Music!!
Music is the greatest gift from God to humans. You can't touch it, or see it but just by listen, it can touch and move every fiber of your being, it can embrace your heart in a way that it's impossible to explain.
For me, it is not even a matter of comprehension, when you learn to feel music, to really love it, it can save you in so many ways, like no one or nothing else can do it. A single tone can bring you so many things, memories, persons, everything.
The beauty of music, the sound of every instrument is just divine!
As I always say, music is the only tangible miracle that we, humans, have.

So, I would like to know, what means music for you?
Title: Antw:Question-Game
Post by: Asphodel on March 26, 2014, 12:41:25
For me music is one of the most important things, although I am a listener and not a musician. Music can be so various, it can calm you, it can make you feel understood when you see that this piece of music is about your state of mind and emotions, it can touch you to tears or it can give you a kick, or be like a battery and give you energy.
Don't know how people can live without this wonder, but many people are doing just fine... it's weird for me.
I don't mean I am listening to it non-stop, no, but music definitely takes a very important place in my world.

What do you think about people in general? Can you say that you love or like people in general?
Title: Antw:Question-Game
Post by: Sunny on March 26, 2014, 21:13:53
Today, after reading this very question, I was looking through the topic "Photogame: fulfill a wish" and saw Ekaterina's favourite book, "The Master and Margarita", and it reminded me at once of Ieshua Ga-Nocri, who addressed anyone with the words "good man". Alas! I can't claim to follow his advice at all. I'm not a humanist. I'm not the one who ever has a chance of becoming a sister of mercy, for example. I don't love all people. I just mistrust them.
Yet I'm no misanthrope. I do not hate mankind, I do not shun them. I just mistrust them.
According to all I've said above, it may seem a paradox, yet still I am the one who communicates easily with those I come across. With all those I meet in my life, with just a minor exception, I behave myself like a pleasant person, yet careful. The barrier is rather easy to overcome, though.
In such a way I often find mates, and sometimes even friends.
But real friends are rare.
I've got just a few of them.
And to them I'm a humanist to my very core.  :)

My question may seem too personal. Yet still, it's just a game. Is it easy for you to forgive?
Title: Antw:Question-Game
Post by: Yasmin Nurmi on March 27, 2014, 06:23:07
It depends how big is the reason to forgive, if it's a simple situation I can forgive, but if it's a terrible reason, it's very hard to me to forgive. The person needs to prove and to show me that he/she will never do the same thing again. And when a person hurts your feeling is almost impossible to forgive him/her because he/she broke the trust that existed once and is always very hard to get back this trust. Our dear Anne Nurmi also says in "Not Every Pain Hurts" that "when we have to will we learn to forgive and to forget" but I think that if I really have to forgive is because I will really forget and that's why for me it's difficult to forgive, there is somethings that are not easy to forget.
I am an example about it, I have many sorrow inside my heart that a person that used to be the "love of my life" suddenly didn't love me anymore and did somethings very cruel and horrible to me and I just can't forget what he did, so I think I will never forget and forgive him. That's is also an example of a "terrible reason" that I already said before and now I know that is not easy to me to forgive what happened in the past between us.
So yes, is very hard to me to forgive, specially personal facts in my own life.  :-\

Question: What do you think of traveling?
Title: Antw:Question-Game
Post by: Asphodel on March 28, 2014, 09:50:02
I love traveling! It's so fascinating to see new places, whether these are cities, ruins, or just nature of another country. It makes me feel alive! I used to take organized tours or simply travel with friends, and both are awesome to me. The only minus is that it costs money ;D

Do you get angry easily and what can make you angry?
Title: Antw:Question-Game
Post by: Sunny on April 12, 2014, 19:39:00
Yes. And no.  :)

I'm a very, very emotional person. Sometimes even a mere trifle can irritate me. But, knowing my own character, I always try not to burst but to turn everything unto a joke.
But what I really hate is when someone plays "a double play", when in conversation with me one shows his "true, sincere" friendship, but tells strange things behind my back. I become really enraged when I learn about this. In such cases I don't even try to find the reasons. I just forget about such a person, I stop noticing him/her at all.
And I must confess that such an offence is very hard for me to overcome.

Question.

Once I read a short story "The Fun They Had" by Isaak Asimov. The story starts with a phrase one girl wrote in her diary: "Today, Tommy found a real book!"
The story, naturally, takes place in the future, in the world of computers and mechanical teachers.
The paper book was something strange and funny for those children.
That's not the main question of the story, yet it made me wonder...
Are there any difference for you between a paper book and an electronic one? And why?
Title: Antw:Question-Game
Post by: EkaterinaCat on April 13, 2014, 12:34:03
The difference of course is obvious. I love paper books, but it is inconvenient to travel . And in other situations.
And only one paper book . At its e-book can choose from 5,000 books.
But such diversity can never replace the smell of paper and the rustle of pages.
Comfort or feelings? Mind chooses convenience , but the soul ...

Now I only buy books that deserve it and I know it is absolutely accurate.
If I just want to read, I am downloading.
But I will never part with my paper books, because sometimes it is nice to read something on paper.  :)

Were you able to realize childhood dreams? What do you dream? And what now?
Title: Antw:Question-Game
Post by: Asphodel on April 18, 2014, 12:59:22
In childhood I didn't have any particular dreams, I didn't dream of any profession or something like this... I wanted to become adult ;D So that I could make my own choices... I felt, that I was living in a very small world and I knew that the bid world is out there. I wanted to overcome these borders... I think it happened.

Both, I loved going to school because of subjects like math, I loved mathematics, biology, philosophy, and as a child I remember to get me home and the first thing I would do was to tasks, but something I did not like the school was classmates and how they treated me, and some bad situations that have been repeated for years since my 6 years of age to 12, and it was something that made me a more private person and does not know if express or simply do not. then the school is a mix of something I liked with bad memories.   :-\

When you're sad is something that can completely change your mood and cheer you up? if so what would it be?

It is talk. When I feel some pain because of something, or fear, or just sadness - a talk with a friend can help me and totally change my mood, it can be a talk when I tell it all away, and sharing with someone makes it easier, or it can be a talk about any other subject - just about some interesting stuff.
But not with just ANY person. It has to be a friend or someone you like.

What are you afraid or and why?

Post by: Sunny on April 23, 2014, 19:30:04
Oh, I've got many fears! Too many for one person  :) From most irrational like my fear of spiders to the most serious like the fear of war.
Yet worst of all is my fear of a big audience.
Yes, I'm afraid of crowds. I'm scared of big new companies. My self-unassuarance, my uncertanty in my powers, my mental abilities reaches its hight when I've got to say something, when I've got to present my point of view, or some facts, or when I've got to enter a discussion.
This fear has its logical source and strange as it may seem, it's love. My first love. Powerful. Unforgettable. And unhappy.
It was so long ago, and many a year have passed since we parted for good. Yet still to this very day I have to fight a most severe inner battle when I am invited to any new company or party or public event. What a torture it is to enter a hall, to approach a lectern, to join the table, etc.!
I manage to win in this battle, though. Having got used to the company a bit, I'm able to start a normal conversation, without any trembling or stuttering so that no-one guesses what a struggle is storming inside me.
But these first few minutes - they are a real nightmare!

Question:
Are there any period in your life you would like to return to? Do you have such a memory of which you can say: "Beautiful moment, do not pass away!" (with some explanations, of course :) )?

In general, I seldom think about the past... So I have never had such thoughts like "I want to return to this time", "golden years" and so... Nostalgia is not my thing. But if I think about it now, I could choose my travel-times, last year in Poland for example. My friends, new impressions, concert, fun, what can be better... I think it was by best trip.

;D funny question maybe... right now you are here at Lacrimosa-forum, how did you get here and why?

How I got here .... looking to see more of this band that was slowly becoming my favorite , Lacrimosa I met in 2005 through my best friend who recommended me the band , and as I was loving <3  increasingly <3
I think it took me a while to find the forum , I created my account in 2012, but did not usually comment much , just read it still suffered from a strong timides , and still am very very very shy , although there seems . And when I found the forum Lacrimosa was like ... "what is this place to login ? "... The first time I tried to create an account just had an error, then after a while came back and tried again , and it worked " ... I know sometimes I get a little flighty and distracted , but formerly I did not visit the site of the Lacrimosa very often . I followed the news in the Myspace and Blog - mobile .
and today I 'm happy to be here because I like the forum " everyone here has good taste in music "

Inspired by this question ... How did you meet Lacrimosa ?

Everything is quite simple. My ex-boyfriend brought me to listen. It was in 2001. This man is long gone in my life, but still Lacrimosa with me. And I began my great love.  :)

What emotions you experienced at the first concert? Do you remember something specific, or have only feelings?

Oh, such a dear question! My first Lacrimosa concert was in 2006, and I perfectly remember that day. Actually, I hope I'll never forget it! It was a rainy day ( in a middle of a hot summer  ;D ), the concert was delayed because of a terrible rain ... Well, late in the evening, under a dark, deep grey sky, Lacrimosa entered my soul. The most powerful feeling was something like this: how can someone do this to me??? The emotion I felt was almost unbearable! I was continuously repeating in my mind that something so intense and powerful like Lacrimosa on stage was impossible, it was much too much! It was like their souls were in front of my soul ... Oh!!!! Fantastic memories!!!!

My question: because we are here :), why is music so important to you?

I love music .. my grandfather has always loved classical music, among other works , and I got used to grow listening to these songs , and also see him playing piano, guitar or any other instrument . and my father inherited this love for his music, my father is also a musician and plays several instruments and likes from rock to classical music, so since I was a child I studied music  , my father encouraged me , for he was always very important that I or my sister inherited this love for music , and I love music. and Lacrimosa is beyond music , is feelings , stories of a lifetime and it often makes us reflect on our own and find a solution to some problems ... Lacrimosa for me , is the most complete band in every way , and I just know that I love your music , more than any other loved , and that's what I'm more special in my life , my life is Lacrimosa . <3

Continuing with this beautiful subject ... Lacrimosa and his music . Is there any song Lacrimosa to bring you special memories ? which and why?

So...it's short story.
For me "Der Morgen danach" is the most beloved piece forever.
Why?
Because helped me to find a good way in life, understand a lot of things and was with me in few bad moments of life.
I remember that my Mum listened it and said that's one of her favourite song (I must say that my Mum is not "dark" and don't like songs in other language). But I remember when we were together, was rainy day, and I showed this piece.
She asked- who did this beautiful music. And now she likes Lacrimosa (not every pieces but many!).
I think that "Der Morgen danach" helped me find way to other face of Mum  :)

So... About Lacrimosa... Have You the most terrible song of Lacrimosa?
Which bring You not good memories?

I don't have a song that brings me bad memories... Just sometimes in some special mood certain songs can be painful to listen, songs like Morning Glory...

What Lacrimosa song touches you the most, in any kind of way?

it is a difficult question because there is not just a song, but tons! I will mention just some examples of those which touch me the most, such as, Reissende Blicke, Die Schreie sind Verstummt, This is the night, Der Letzte Hilfeschrei, Stumme Worte, A.u.S...

and for you?
Title: Antw:Question-Game
Post by: Sunny on May 23, 2014, 19:45:57
For me...
Seele in Not It was the first one I ever heard. And the feeling of happiness - for me, for myself, for all the emotions counterweighing all the storm of my own emotions, for the reply to all my questions... well, I still experience the same whenever I hear it.
Mein zweites Herz... a kind of aching, tugging feeling inside my chest... like I sometimes feel the same... like it is about myself in some way...
And Schakal... just closing my eyes and bathing in music and voices. Ever.

Question:
Well, I do understand that everyone here loves Lacrimosa and that this very band is special... But are there any other music which makes your heart miss a beat? And what are these bands? Or, maybe, separate songs?

There 's nothing in this world like Lacrimosa, for me. I'm a kind of maniac, I know .... but eventhough I use to listen mostly to Lacrimosa, I hold dear (very) few other musicians.

And  it is My Dying Bride that has an important part of my heart, because I go deeper down in my soul with/within  their music ... and from this greatest darkness, I enter the light ...

A simple question: how was your day?
Title: Antw:Question-Game
Post by: Zeake_Asakura on May 23, 2014, 23:19:20
Suddenly out of nowhere I jump out and answer this.
The day began nicely cause I found lots of my classmates in a social net and was watching there PIGTURES for quite a time and I was laughing maliciously. The babbitry, stagnancy and platitude, that's what I saw. And carpets on the walls, carpets on the walls everywhere! And vodka. And each one of them has fifty children already. They went blurry, old, fat, unrecognisable. ;D Looking at them I thought that maybe my life isn't as bad. (but then I saw that it was the same shit and we all are doomed to live our disgusting boring lives until the end and ungloriously die, and that's how my day ended). So plus and minus of my day became quite a zero as a result.

My question: What is your biggest and the most irrational fear?
Title: Antw:Question-Game
Post by: karinapinotti on May 23, 2014, 23:42:58
godgott, "Der morgen danach" is also my favorite song on the same grounds, and my mother also loves her. whenever I listen, she tried to sing ... my mother literally does not speak German, but she embolava words with so much happiness that I thought it beautiful ..

My answer ... my most irrational fear is being alone in the dark without light. I go into panic.

question ... what makes you really angry?

Karina, this situation shows that Lacrimosa really can connect people ^^

As for question- I have few situations.
1. I'm so angry when somebody arrival late.
2. I hate vain people.
3. And people who tortment animals.
4. And people who can't keep word/promise etc.

And what makes You really angry? ^^

The very first thing coming to my mind, and a very pulpitant one for me at this moment, is that I become really angry when people, refusing to use their brains, refuse to face the truth. When they don't even try to listen to any reason. When they just continue to call white what is actually black.
And I hate treachery.

Question: What kind of rest do you prefer? In what place, or company you can truly relax?
Title: Antw:Question-Game
Post by: Asphodel on May 24, 2014, 21:18:57
Best kind of rest I have for sure in the company of my bed ;D or/and a book... It is if I am really tired... If we are talking about more "active" rest, such as a day off, then it is maybe going somewhere with my friends! I won't mention going to the concerts here, because it is not rest, it is more energy-consuming, but it of course is worth it, many times...

Do you have a hobby? Maybe something creative?

You will laugh, but my "newest" discovery are Scorpions. XD But you didnt say that it had to be a new band...
I would recommend the album "Love at First Sting"

What's the craziest thing you've ever did?
